“Bohemian Rhapsody” is a biopic highlighting the lives and journey to stardom of the band Queen and their lead singer, Freddie Mercury. This movie portrays all of the events and obstacles that the band had to go through on the way to their most memorable concert, The Live Aid Concert in London. In the film, Freddie Mercury wanted to adopt his own solo career and depart from Queen. His choice to separate from the band was not successful and his solo career failed, thus leading him to reunite with the band. After the reunion, Freddie reveals to his band members that he has AIDS, thus leading to the Live Aid Concert. The concert would go down in history as one of the most influential events of its time.

The movie depicts Freddie Mercury’s life honestly, including his triumphs and his struggles. The film was an amazing depiction of their lives, and I highly recommend it. The music was classic, the acting was magnificent. Rami Malek, a San Fernando Valley native, took on the role as Freddie Mercury and shined. Audiences were blown away with his astounding acting. Malek embraced his role and exceeded the audience’s expectations with his performance in “Bohemian Rhapsody”.

“Bohemian Rhapsody” has received 62% Rotten Tomatoes and had a production budget of $52 million. According to BoxOfficeMojo, it has a domestic total of $153,118,252 as of November 26, 2018. Vanessa Tapia said that “the movie was really good. I liked it a lot. It really made me appreciate the band.” This movie has been very successful and has left audiences in awe. Grab your friends this holiday break and go see this musical masterpiece!
