AP Scholar Awards
With the AP Scholar Awards, the AP Program recognizes high school students who have demonstrated outstanding college-level achievement through their performance on AP Exams.
Each award-winning student can view and print their certificate online at the Collegeboard website, and the award is acknowledged on any AP score report that is sent to colleges after the award has been granted.
- AP Scholar Awards are added to students’ online score reports in the summer. If you earned an award, Collegeboard will notify you by email.
- If you are a State AP Scholar, your printed award certificate is sent to your state’s superintendent of education for distribution.

This is impressive but considering there are 2586 students at Taft and only 188 of them got an average score of 3 or higher on their AP Exams shows that Taft should encourage more students to take AP classes and the AP Exam and perhaps better prepare students for them.

Since this article is about AP awards and tests. I think it’s best if you can add more information about how long or difficult these tests are for beginners. For example, like me I’m interested in taking AP classes next year and I would like more information about the classes and their exams. Since I’m a beginner I’m worried that these classes might not be for me and I’ll fail them so to be more reassuring it’s best to be more descriptive on the classes and exams for each different AP class currently at Taft High School. Although I do like how there is different names for AP scholars which I did not know anything about.

I think there should be more information on the AP classes you can take. You can also explain how the AP tests are prepared for and the requirements to take an AP class.
