       Written by Stephanie Perkins who is a New York Times and international bestselling author of books for teenagers and for adults with teenage hearts. She was born in South Carolina and attended universities in California and Georgia. Perkins was first a bookseller, and as a librarian, and now as a novelist and editor. Fun fact, she and her husband, Jarrod, have every room of  their house painted a different color of the rainbow. Anna and the French Kiss is one out of two series book she made. The others are Lola and the Boy Next Door and Isla and the Happily Ever After. She made these series which shows the different characters point of view.

       Anna and the French Kiss helped me visualize what Anna experiences when exploring Paris which is astonishing. This book shows what love can do to you in Paris. Perkins pays a lot of attention to detail in such a short novel. She focuses on a small group of characters, but they’re so clarified that they seem like very real people.  Everything that happens between St. Clair and Anna brings them closer together. In most books I’ve read mostly pairs talk about parties and relationships, but Anna and St. Clair share intelligent conversations about culture, language, and history. The way they talked shows realism to their conversations and that caught my attention. If you like The Fault in Our Stars you will definitely love this book.
