This holiday season is filled with spirit, joy, and excitement! Activities for a wide range of ages and interests are listed. Living in an area without snow and mid to high temperatures forces us to experience the winter with a different approach. Take advantage of not having to shovel snow or wear parkas, and go visit one of these wonderful events.

 

Westfield Topanga Ice skating by LA Kings
In search of an excuse to feel cold and try something new, visit an outdoor ice skating rink. Opens annually by Westfield Topanga’s The Village. This year it opened Nov. 15 and closes on Dec. 16, with a cost of $13 All ages and experience levels are welcomed. There are options for private skating lessons, reserved skate time for a party, or general skate. Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf will also be there to serve hot chocolate as in previous years.

Holiday Art market
Fine artists, blacksmiths, and craftspeople display their work for everyone to enjoy. It begins Nov 9 to Dec 7,at 10am until 4pm. An interactive experience carefully laid out for your convenience. As well as shopping for painting, drawing, jewelry, woodwork, and almost anything else you could think of. It’s essentially a really nice swap meet.

Candy Cane(Candle Light) Lane
This is a wonderful neighborhood that goes all out in decorations. Houses are completely lit up at the start of dusk. It is a great idea to visit from Dec. 14 to Dec. 31. People will often slowly drive through the streets. Many will also walk with their friends and family. Food trucks will be lined up and families will sit outside selling or handing out baked goods, hot chocolate, and fun light-up toys.

Holiday Sing-Along
Music plays an important role in the holidays. holidays. Get tickets to have a night full of singing at the Walt Disney Concert Hall Dec. 21 at 11:30 am. A day spent with family and friends. Forget all your worries as each lyric plays to your ear.

Jingle Ball
A well-known event full of joy and cheer. On Dec. 6 at 7:30 at the Forum, you can listen and sing-along to Billie Eilish, Lizzo, BTS, and so many more. Tickets starting at a whopping $147. Not on the cheap side; however, the memories are worth more than the cost.
