Student Parking Lot Decoration
By Jack William Morris, Taft Tribune Staff
The 2020 graduates of Taft High School were finally allowed to paint their curb on Sunday, October 20th, 2019. For the first year in Taft history, students were allowed to paint their parking bumps however they’d like (within limits, of course, as all designs had to be pre-approved by Taft staff).
Students were very excited to get right into their designs and decorate their parking bumps as they desired, although many were hoping to paint the entire space. The student parking lot was recently renovated, with new lines to mark the spots.
Although it wasn’t the ideal situation for seniors, they still enjoyed the experience and the privilege of having some more self-expression.

Will they be painted over every year by the seniors? I would very much enjoy to do this as a senior.
