Girl’s Basketball: Senior Night
This past Friday, February 1, 2019, was senior night and the last home game of the season for Taft girls basketball team. Before the game began, the seniors were presented one by one. After all the seniors were, and their posters were placed all over the gym, the girls game had begun. Although the night may not have gone as planned or expected, the team was happy to have enjoyed their last home game together. There were cheer and support from administration, friends, and family. We asked Rosa Callejas, the captain of the girl’s varsity basketball team, how their season went and she said, “Our season was unforgettable, the strike caused us to miss out on four of our challenging games, so that sucked. Overall I believe this was a great season.’’ The varsity team had nine wins and 2-4 in the league. Not only did we ask Rosa Callejas about how their season went, we also asked her who was the best passer, the person who leads them into scoring points, and the best defensive passer and she told us that the best passer in the team is Audrey Quintana, the best person to leading them on scoring points is Gaby Quintana, and that the best defensive passer Shellsea. On February 9, 2019, the Taft girls varsity team hopes to win the playoffs against Sylmar High School. Everyone is invited to see the game, so please support the girl’s basketball team.
Senior at Taft, I enjoy taking pictures and capturing moments.
