What a time it is to be living in Los Angeles! If you are a Lakers or Clippers fan, this upcoming season is one you’ve all been waiting many years for.

After the end of the 2018-2019 NBA season, the Los Angeles Lakers knew they were in a good position for being contenders for the next season’s championship. They had already acquired future hall-of-famer, LeBron James, and all they needed was another top tier player and a few other role players. They had to sacrifice Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart, and three first-round picks for Anthony Davis. They had to give up a lot but they got a shot at a championship by acquiring Anthony Davis. With the new big three, LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Kyle Kuzma, the Lakers’ season is looking bright.

The Los Angeles Clippers came off a good season and had high hopes for their next season. All they needed was that franchise player to come and give them the boost they needed to win a championship. They were able to acquire one of the best players in the league, Kawhi Leonard, who just came off of winning a championship with the Toronto Raptors. Kawhi Leonard was also able to talk to Paul George and have the Clippers trade Danilo Gallinari, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and five first-round picks for Paul George from the Oklahoma City Thunder. A team that was once considered the underdogs of the western conference, is now a championship contender with their new duo, Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.

There has always been a rivalry between the Lakers and the Clippers for who the best team is in Los Angeles. Championships and past franchise history have always given the Lakers the edge over the Clippers, however, the Clippers are sure on their way of claiming the city. This should be a very interesting season for both the Lakers and the Clippers.
