The Los Angeles Lakers had begun the 2019-2020 season off to an amazing start. With a current record of 9 wins and 2 losses, the Lakers are favored to finish this season in 1st seed of the Western Conference. This has been the Lakers’ best record so far since 2010. Last season, the lakers finished with a record of 37 wins and 45 losses. This horrific season was mainly due to Lebron James missing 27 games because of a groin injury, and this only led the team downhill. The team is lead by small-forward Lebron James and power forward Anthony Davis. Both of the Lakers’ superstars have averaged 25 points and nearly 7 rebounds per game. With the return of Kyle Kuzma averaging 14 points a game and former Lakers center, Dwight Howard, showing lots of improvement.

The lakers must compete with the other top teams in the Western conference such as The Los Angeles Clippers, Phoenix Suns, and the Houston Rockets. Also, Rajon Rondo, former 3-time All-star, had returned from a calf injury. Danny Green, the starting shooting guard who was recently acquired in free agency this offseason has been shooting 44% from three-point range. If all the Lakers players stay healthy and avoid injuries throughout the rest of the season, the Lakers are definitely going to be the frontrunners to win the NBA finals this year.
