World 2020 Expo
There’s just one year to go for the greatest World Expo in 2020, hosted by the United Arab Emirates, opening on the 20th of October and lasting until the end of April. The theme of this year’s Expo is to connect minds from all over the world and create a diverse and peaceful future. Over 192 countries will be showcasing their ideas on how they plan to conserve the planet for our future generations and improve life on earth with the help of the ever-advancing technology.
By being held in the middle east, this once in a five-year event provides an opportunity for over 200 international participants to get involved. The representatives that gather from all around the world, sit together and discuss the measures that should be taken against the rising global issues, in turn providing a unique opportunity to actually find solutions for the expanding universal problems, get involved in cultural diplomacy and interact with other potential tourists, trade partners and other countries etc. Dubai’s most luxurious and beautiful weather will be showcased during this time which is ideal for the incoming tourists. Equally, those who plan to visit Dubai during that time frame are inclined to visit the Expo site which is on its way to become one of the world’s biggest gatherings.
The Expo 2020 has several attractions to keep their visitors busy, such as the pavilions of each country and the Expo’s new feature called the “Expo live”. Each pavilion is a subdivision of a building which displays each nation’s ideas on today’s problems and reflect towards their heritage and culture. The UAE pavilion, designed in the shape of a falcon in flight, will be a major attraction at the global event. The pavilion will endure you in the history of the nation as a connected global hub, and the vision of its current leaders to create a harmonious and progressive society with opportunistic plans for the oncoming future.
The pavilions are grouped in three different categories; Opportunity, Mobility, and Sustainability. The pavilions under the theme of opportunity make visitors more aware and cautious by triggering a desire to act to create a better world. The guest experience is based on different series of entertaining moments that will challenge their users to think about issues related to the basic needs of water, food, and energy by simulating environments of real-life individuals who are agents of change in their own communities. Some countries under that pavilion are Austria, Belarus, and China.
Another sector being Mobility which walks you through the past, present, and future of movement, from ancient exploration to artificial intelligence. The journey takes you to the house of wisdom in the ninth century Baghdad, before you continue ahead on to meet nine-meter-tall historical giants of Mobility. Walking further-on would put you in a time where the virtual world is exploding with data, then step into the city of tomorrow. Robots or drone waiters are always there to help you along your journey while strolling through the pavilion. France, Belgium, and Finland are just some of the countries that are part of this movement.
Furthermore, the Sustainability pavilion provides a chance to risk the planet’s future in a game of high-stakes pinball and meet a giant fish who’s furious about the plastic waste that’s clogging up his ocean home. The nature-inspired pavilion, has a leaf-shaped roof, which will encourage visitors to consider the impact of their individual choices and invest in the future now in order to restore balance to our beautiful natural world. The pavilion also walks you through innovative global projects that aim to save the planet. Visitors are bound to leave the pavilion with a better understanding of the environmental impact we have on the planet, and pledging to conserve the planet for a better future. Countries like Brazil, Canada and Azerbaijan are part of this category.
The brand new Expo Live feature is an innovation program to fund, accelerate and promote creative solutions that improve lives while preserving the planet. Expo Live will harness the convening strength of the World Expo to represent how innovations coming from all places and people would advance the speed of progress and inspire a more all-round inclusive and prosperous future.
Moreover, the Expo created tens of thousands of jobs and exponentially increased the income of the country while providing amazing opportunities to boost their tourism sector and internationally grow awareness of their presence as a global hub.
